Things NieR: Automata Doesn't Tell You

This is very interesting and very famous game still in 2019 you have also option to download hd wallpapers for pc as like Nier Automata Wallpaper.

There are quite a few things that NieR: Automata either won't tell you or just simply doesn't elaborate on. This page is here to share the best tips and tricks in the game that are never fully explained.

As you progress through the game, you will come across Plug-in Chips that allow you to customize your 2B's Perks and Abilities. The chips can give you bonus perks, such as extra damage and item drops from enemies, or other specific abilities.

You will only be able to allocate a few chips to certain abilities, however, which is limited to the amount of memory you can fill with chips. Memory can be expanded upon by purchasing more space from Shop Keepers. This allows you to equip more chips and further boost your abilities. You can unlock new abilities like slowing down time when you're getting hit with projectiles, or regaining health back when inflicting damage on an enemy.

Chips can also be fused together at Shops. By fusing two chips of the same kind, you can further boost the bonus it gives you while simultaneously decresing the required memory space when its installed. This will give you better abilities and bonuses as you open up your memory to install even more chips. Take advantage of the perks you can obtain while keeping your space open for even more boosts.

You can have up to three different Chip Sets that can be switched between while roaming around. You can also automatically equip a full set of chips geared towards a playstyle when editing your chihp sets in the menu. This allows you to have chip sets geared for one kind of situation that may arise, such as boss fights or grinding for items, while also having your own custom set.

There is No Auto saving in Nier: Automata

NieR: Automata does not feature an Auto-Save feature, forcing you to quick save and play cautiously. Though there is a small message when you begin the game to notify you of this, the game doesn't reinforce this throughout the rest of the game. You need to save manually through the menu in safe areas or through the Access Points with Quick Save.

The Prologue section of the game also doesn't have any point where you can save your game either, so it's highly reccomended you avoid dying during the beginning section, otherwise you'll be kicked back to the main menu and lose all of your progress

You can save your progress at Access Points, and terminals in the Bunker, located in the areas you explore in the game. Take advantage of this by using manual save from your pause menu or by using Quick Save from the Access Points.

If you happen to die throughout your journey, you will lose some of your weapons before you restart at a nearby access point. However, your weapons are not lost forever and can be reobtained by returning to the scene of your death and picking them up.

This can be done during exploration or during boss fights in the main story. You will see a prompt to recover your body once you walk over it. Be careful though! If you die again before retrieving your items from your body, they will disappear forever.

Reviving Player Characters - Online Cooperation

NeiR: Automata has a co-op mode and never fully explains what it is, or how to access it. Once the game world opens up, you will be prompted to turn the Online Mode on or off. Its suggested you should leave it on, and if you do, you can prepare for some cooperation from others online!

This will make the game slightly easier, but not by much as your co-op buddy is actually an AI. Throughout your journey, you will see dead bodies on the ground in certain areas. These areas are where real players have died recently in their own games.

Approaching them will give you one of two options. You can either Retrieve or Repair the player's body. Retrieving the body will instantly heal you and give you a buff based on that specific player, as well as a small amount of money and sometimes items. On the other hand, Repairing the body will summon an A.I. ally to help you in combat. The A.I. will leave once after a certain amount of time, or when it loses all its health and dies.

Riding Animals - What You Can and Can't Do

In NieR:Automata, you can ride atop of animals you see roaming around the area of places you explore. However, in order to do so, you need to have animal bait to lure one nearby and tame it. This can be done through the use of animal bait and the Sachet you can purchase at Shops. Having the Sachet allows you to approach any animal without it fleeing.

When riding an animal, you can do a number of actions. You can still pick up items you find on the ground without having to dismount. You can't however use the menu or view the map while riding animals, you'll need to dismount before doing so, which can cause your ride to flee from your position. In addition, you can't attack normally with your weapon attacks from atop your ride, but can still use your Pod. Pod attacks and projectiles can still be done while moving around.

Moving at fast speeds while riding animals will allow you to mildly damage enemies as you run them over. You will need to sprint and pick up speed before you can damage enemies.

Finishing enemies with takedowns

If you happened to knock down an enemy or stagger them, you will see them glowing for a moment with a button prompt above them. Hitting the button at that moment will allow you to instantly killed the enemy with a flash takedown move.

The game never openly tells you this, but if you knock an enemy down or stagger them, you can perform the insta-kill, which also works during a combo.

This can be very useful in situations where you need to move fast and dwindle down a large group of enemies. You perform the attack by pressing the button prompt when you see it. On airborne enemies, you will see the prompt as they stagger for a brief moment above you. Though you don't need to jump into the air in order to perform the takedown.

Upgrading Weapons to MAX with Masamune

Speaking with him, he will be able to upgrade any of your weapons to MAX level for a small fee and materials. If you have all of the materials needed, you can upgrade your weapon pass level 3 to MAX, which will unlock an extra ability a given weapon, as well as give a big boost to its attack power and combo level.

Some materials for upgrading can be found by defeating enemies, but others may require you to complete side quests. You can get a majority of the materials from Shops as well, including both Emil's Shop and the Robot Scientist outside of Machine Village.

Speaking with Masamune also enables you to obtain extra weapons after upgrading others to MAX. The first time you upgrade any weapon with Virtuous or Curel in the name to MAX, Masamune will give you the Cruel Lament combat bracers, which can also be upgraded to MAX with him.

Buying From Emil's Item Shop

In later portions of the game after completing the Forest section, you will notice a robot happy face icon on your map roaming around. This icon marks the location of Emil's Shop, a robot that sells really good items at high prices. If you have enough money saved up from defeating enemies and exploring, you will definitely want to visit his shop.

However getting Emil's attention isn't as simple as speaking with him. Emil drives around wildly, so you'll have to hit him with an attack to make him stop so you can speak with him. When you do so, you'll be able to buy whatever wares he has on hand, most of which can be strong chips with high prices.

Emil travels around to different locations every time you reload or enter a new area of the map. Depending on where you find Emil, his inventory will change. Near the desert area, Emil will sell high valued chips that take a lot of space within your memory, but their effects and boosts are very good.

Emil will also sell two weapons if you encounter him just outside of the Resistance Camp. Its his third location where he roams around, but its sometimes harder to make him show up within th area. When he does, you can purchase the Type-3 Fists and Angel's Folly Combat Bracers for 20,000G and 25,000G respectfully, as well as the Dress Module costume for 10,000G.

After speaking with Emil for the first time within a given area, if you finish his dialogue and then speak to him again, his inventory will immediately change. When you do this, he will sell lower leveled materials that you can purchase. (NOTE: This is still unconfirmed if this happens all the time. In some instances, this happened only in a few areas and never consistently)
